Born pretty store review - gold framed half pearls!

Disclaimer; these nail art embellishments were sent to me to review, please see my 'disclaimer' page for more info.

Hi! Yesterday was my little sisters birthday so I spent the day with her, I hope you had a nice weekend too!

Today I'm going to show you some really pretty gold framed half pearls from Born Pretty Store! I've always really loved these because they're quite different, I love the gold accent on the embellishment and the gorgeous jewel colours of them! To do this design I also used some pretty gold half pearl embellishments. also from BPS, which I will review properly in another post soon.

To do this mani I used a base of a rich purple leather effect polish, once it was dry, I used a dotting tool to dot on some clear polish and then used a wax pencil to apply one of the gold framed half pearls to the base of each nail.

Above the gold framed half pearl, I used three different sizes of the gold half pearls just above the pearl embellishment in a row up from the pearl. I used the largest gold half pearl just above the coloured embellishment and then the next smallest and the next.

I didn't use top coat to secure these as I don't use top coat over textured polish but I have since used these in a design with top coat and they last just as well without it.

I absolutely love these embellishments and I'm so happy I now have them in my nail art stash! They pick up easily with tweezers or a wax pencil, it's easy to adhere them with polish or nail glue and they  mani any mani look extra great! They also come in loads of colours so you can easily match them to your design.

I have both the gold framed half pearls and the gold half pearls coming up soon in other blog posts so look out for those! In the meantime here is a link to Born Pretty Store, here is a link to all of their nail art products and you can save 10% on all orders with the code TS10K31
